Key Features
The D-Link Media Converter 1000 Mbit/s is designed to extend and connect Gigabit Ethernet networks by converting network signals between compatible media types, such as copper Ethernet and fiber optic connections. It provides a practical solution for integrating different network infrastructures without replacing existing networking equipment. Supporting speeds of up to 1000 Mbit/s (1Gbps), the converter is suitable for business networks, data centers, campus environments, surveillance systems, and other applications requiring dependable high-speed connectivity. Its compact design makes it convenient for network installations where space is limited. Media converters are particularly useful for extending network distances beyond the typical limitations of copper Ethernet cabling while taking advantage of the longer transmission distances offered by fiber.
