The IBM FAStT200 HA Storage Server is designed for high-availability applications requiring a high degree of component redundancy. It features two hot-plug RAID controllers and two hot-plug power supplies. This product expands the second generation of IBM Fibre Array Storage Technology (FAStT) to provide an additional cost-effective offering where a moderate level of performance, high-availability and scalability are needed. This high availability unit is ideal for creating a cost-effective Storage Area Network (SAN) using fibre-to-fibre technology. This unit supports dual-host loops and dual-drive loop storage configurations using fibre-to-fibre connections. Enterprise information can be accessed across two host systems from various storage systems or devices that are local or remote. Configurations support disk and tape pooling connected to Netfinity servers in redundant loops to create a highly available SAN.
