IBM FAStT200 Storage Servers contain a single RAID controller and are ideal for creating a cost-effective Storage Area Network (SAN) using fibre-to-fibre technology. This entry-level, cost-effective solution is for applications where a high degree of redundancy is not immediately required. This product can support dual-host loops and dual-drive loop storage configurations using fibre-to-fibre connections. Enterprise information can be accessed across two host systems from various storage systems or devices that are local or remote. Configurations support disk and tape pooling connected to Netfinity servers in redundant loops to create a highly available SAN. This unit can be upgraded for high-availability applications by installing an optional FAStT200 Failsafe RAID Controller.
