Every hot-swap bay expects its drive to arrive in the right carrier, and carriers are stubbornly specific: they differ by vendor, generation, and drive size (3.5" LFF vs 2.5" SFF), and a bare drive bought without one is a drive that cannot be installed. This category exists for exactly that moment — caddies and trays for Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Lenovo/IBM, Supermicro, and the major storage arrays.
Note that drives bought from us OEM-branded already ship in the correct carrier (see enterprise HDDs and SSDs); loose caddies are for drives you already own, empty-bay expansions, and replacing carriers with broken latches. Match by server or array model plus drive form factor, or by the caddy part number itself.
