Racking Hardware, Matched Right

Rail kits are the part everyone forgets until the servers arrive: they are model-specific (a PowerEdge R740 rail does not fit an R640), come in sliding and static variants, and OEM listings rarely make the difference obvious. Sliding rails allow in-rack service and pair with a cable management arm; static rails cost less and suit set-and-forget nodes. Secondhand servers frequently arrive without rails at all — we stock OEM and compatible kits for exactly that gap.

Alongside rails we carry front bezels (with keys), blanking panels for unused U-space — an airflow fix as much as a cosmetic one, see rack cooling — and cable management arms per platform. Tell us the server model and rack type (square-hole, round-hole, threaded) and we will confirm fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do rails fit any rack?

Most modern OEM rails fit standard square-hole racks tool-lessly and round-hole racks with adapters. Depth matters too — confirm your rack’s front-to-rear post spacing is within the rail’s range; we check this at order time.

Sliding or static rails?

Sliding rails let you service the server in the rack (with a cable management arm to keep cabling attached); static rails are cheaper and fine for nodes you would power off and pull anyway.

My used server came without rails — can you match a kit?

Yes, that is one of our most common accessory orders. Give us the exact server model/generation and we will supply the correct OEM or compatible kit.
