The hot-swap design is reliable for 7x24 non-stop services. With ASUS optional PIKE upgrade kit, the server is able to provide flexible RAID choices. Flexible I/O Expansion Choices Catering to different demands of users, RS520-E6/RS8 is equipped with three PCI-Express expansion slots, two of which support Full-Height/Full-Length PCI-E G2 card. High Availability for Mission Critical Enterprise applications The RS520-E6/RS8 is built with hot-swap 1+1 redundant power supply to provide better reliability and eliminate the risk of downtime caused by power supply. In addition, the HDD bays are also hot-swappable for easy maintenance. Power-saving Solution With 80+ PFC high efficiency power supply, RS520-E6/RS8 is able to reduce the power loss and power consumption, and save power bill for users, which can be a large deal for 7x24 hour non-stop servers. The EPU (Energy Processing Unit) engine will provide optimal and effective CPU power management. Virtualization Support The onboard vertical USB connector for VMware ESXi supports virtualization application in RS520-E6/RS8. Virtualization not only improves the server’s utility rate and manageability, but also reduces TCO for customers. Real-time and Out-of-band Server Management The optional ASMB4-iKVM module offers real-time web-based management and remote system control (KVM-over-IP) with a single local computer.
