It is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1, ensuring compatibility with existing devices. The new USB 3.0 standard supports transfer rates of up to 5 Gb per second. You can back up large volumes of data, such as high definition videos and high resolution photos, to an external USB 3.0 drive quickly within a short amount of time. In addition, the PU320 2-Port USB 3.0 Express card also supplies 900mA of power per USB port, allowing more external devices to operate without the need of an additional power source.
