Product Description
The KH1516i allows one user to control 16 computer - PC and/or Sun, as well as serial controlled 'terminal' ports. That user can be local or remote, using an integrated, shared IP connection. Through daisy chain architecture, additional non-IP enabled switches such as the KH1508 or KH1516 can be used to expand the number of computers controlled; custom ASIC (patent pending) auto senses the switch positioning the daisy chain. Cat5 cabling to the computers reduces cable bulk and allows the computers to be located up to 130 feet from the switch for convenient placement. These models are exceptionally affordable IP-enabled Cat5 equipped switches with high video quality, excellent security, and the features most in demand. -Remote access via LAN, WAN, or the Internet. -Message board feature allows logged in users to communicate with each other and take exclusive control of the KVM functions. -Cat 5 interface. -Advanced security with password protection and advanced encryption technologies. -Multi-session view allows view all port at the same time. -Window-based Log server. -Remote power control for attached power distribution unit. -OSD operation with LED indication of selected CPU. -Auto scan to monitor any set of user-selected computers. -Firmware upgradeable. -Superior video quality with resolutions to 1600 x 1200@60Hz (100 ft.); 1280 x 1024@60Hz (130 ft.). -Multiplatform support: PC, Mac, Sun and terminal-based systems. -No software purchase required: use built-in OSD, browser or included JAVA or WIndow clients. -Allows the creation of up to64 accounts. -Dedicated chain ports - daisy chain up to 15 additional units - control up to 256 computers.
