While supporting high speed data transfer rates up to 3 Gb/sec., the ESATCASE2 features a sturdy aluminum casing that helps maximize drive heat dissipation, protecting drives and valuable data from in-transit damage. Using Terabyte hard drives? Don’t expose your Hard Drive and valuable data to unnecessary heat! The ESATCASE2 includes a 60mm built-in fan that re-distributes the heat build-up generated as a result of typical drive operation. This feature is especially important for larger volume storage (750GB, 1TB hard drives), and faster “spinning" drives (i.e 7200 RPM), as it can help optimize drive operability and in turn preserve stored data integrity. ESATCASE2 features easy to use locking arms, providing simple drive tray removals and insertions - a definite asset in situations that require quick drive swaps or permanent replacements. -Combined capacity of up to 1.5 TB using two 750GB SATA hard drives. -Easy plug and play installation requires no drivers, for a quicker storage solution. -Extra hard drive trays (SATATRAYBK) optionally available to facilitate use of additional hard drives. -Light weight design and handle offers convenient external. -New industry standard eSATA interface supports longer 2m shielded sata cable with extra ground shielding layer to protect against ESD/EMI.
