The Cisco WS-C6513-E is a 13-slot, 19RU modular switch chassis designed for high-performance enterprise and data center networks. It supports high port densities, Supervisor engine redundancy, and power redundancy for superior reliability. It is ideal for wiring closet, distribution, core network, and data center deployments. The chassis can deliver up to 180 Gbps per-slot bandwidth and is capable of up to 8 Tbps of system bandwidth when paired with the Supervisor Engine 2T in a VSS configuration. It supports all Cisco Catalyst 6500 series Supervisor Engines, including the 720-3C, 720-3CXL, S2T-10G, and S2T-10G-XL. Maximum forwarding performance (IPv4) is up to 720 Mpps. It supports up to 534 GE ports, 180 10 GE ports, or 529 10-100-1000 ports (depending on modules installed). The chassis itself ships without a Supervisor Engine, Fan Tray, or Power Supply, which must be ordered separately. It is designed to be rack-mountable in 19RU space.
