The SS-839 Pro Turbo NAS is the 8-bay, 2.5" SATA HDD network-attached storage server for business users who need a power-saving, high performance, and reliable network storage solution with professional features such as advanced RAID protection, built-in iSCSI target service, and AES 256-bit volume-based encryption. The SS-839 Pro is the smallest 8-bay NAS in the market and can be easily deployed anywhere in the office. It is also an energy-saving storage solution with excellent cooling and low noise design. The power consumption of the NAS is only 34W in operation (in RAID 5 configuration with eight 500GB hard drives installed), which helps save your electricity expense to a large extent. Powered by Intel Atom 1.6 GHz CPU and 2GB DDRII memory, the SS-839 Pro supports RAID 0/ 1/ 5/ 6/ 5 + hot spare, single, and JBOD, Online RAID Capacity Expansion, and Online RAID Level Migration. The SS-839 Pro supports file sharing across Linux, UNIX, Mac, and Windows platforms. Versatile business applications are supported, e.g. file server, FTP server with encryption, printer server, web server, and encrypted remote replication.
