Connect legacy RS-232 serial devices to any modern computer This adapter replaces a legacy built-in or PCI serial port and features a fixed male port with screw in connection. For connecting devices that also have a male connector an inexpensive DB9 coupler or standard serial cable can be purchased separately. Compatibility Works with devices with RS-232 serial ports such as other PCs with RS-232 ports, Bluetooth serial adapters, telescopes, amateur radio gear, GPS receivers, routers, firewalls, modems, plotters, embedded character displays, scan tools, sonar units, embedded boards and many others.
