It pairs an all-new secure networking processor with 20 WAN ports (8x 1GE SFP, 8x 1/10GE SFP+, and 4x 10/25GE SFP28) to deliver up to 91 Gbps of hardware-accelerated forwarding and up to 45 Gbps of IPsec throughput. It ships with 32GB of DRAM (upgradeable to 64GB) and configurable storage up to 2TB, and supports flexible management through Cisco IOS XE CLI, Catalyst SD-WAN Manager, or infrastructure-as-code via NETCONF/YANG, RESTCONF, and gNMI. The platform combines next-gen firewall security, routing, and SD-WAN in a single 1RU chassis, and includes post-quantum cryptography (PQC) readiness for future-proofed encryption. Power options include 400W AC, 400W DC, or 400W HVDC supplies, both rated 80 PLUS Platinum/Titanium efficient, and the unit is ENERGY STAR certified.
