Scaleable Performance NEC Express5800/120Rh-2 is a system designed to deliver scaleable performance to data centers, workgroup environments or remote sites, for which space limitation is a prime consideration. It is especially intended to ASPs/ISPs for hosting Internet and Web applications, and to general corporations for application and infrastructure service consolidation. Maximum Performance Network Computing Engine With ECC and Chipkill enabled DDR2-400 SDRAM DIMMs, the memory capacity is scalable up to 16GB (2GB x8). In addition, NEC Express5800/120Rh-2 supports Ultra 320 SCSI hard disk drives, with a large-scale capacity of up to 1.8TB (300GB x 6), enabling onboard RAID 0/1, without a separate disk array controller. RAID 5 is optionally supported. The on-board RAID availability prevents loss of important data and allows higher system availability in the event of a disk failure, while reducing the cost for the extra device. Advanced Reliability & Management To ensure continuous system operation, optional Hot-Swap redundant power supply and fans are supported. To assist a user in server management, NEC ESMPRO is included for easy system control. In addition, the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is optimized with a choice of Management board options, Standard or Advanced. For simple system installation, NEC EXPRESSBUILDER is attached as an installation support tool. Just by inserting the single CD-ROM and following a series of user-friendly customization menus, a system administrator can set up and configure the system with ease.
