Safely share digital files locally and over the Internet The ShareCenterTM Quattro enables you to share documents and media content such as photos, music and videos on a network or over the Internet. Accessing files is made easy with the built-in web file server, which allows users to browse and download stored files over the Internet. Files on ShareCenterTM Quattro can also be managed from any FTP client. Stream digital media content with the built-in Media Server The DLNA-certified Media Server will stream media on your ShareCenterTM Quattro to any compatible media player -such as the PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, and the Boxee Box by D-Link- over your local network. The ShareCenterTM Quattro allows for multiple simultaneous streams, so you can watch a movie, while someone else listens to music streamed onto their computer. Do more with flexible add-ons The ShareCenterTM Quattro can be tailored to your needs with powerful add-ons that enhance functionality and allow you to do more. Squeeze Center and Audio Streamer allow you to stream music on your home network. With AjaXplorer you can share files over the Internet on any web browser. PhotoCenter will create professional photo galleries and slideshows, and with the Blog add-on, you can create your own blog and always keep it updated. Apple Time Machine The ShareCenterTM Quattro is compatible with Apple’s Time Machine. Users of Apple computers can use this powerful feature to backup their valuable files and computer settings directly onto the ShareCenterTM Quattro, or perform a full system recovery in case a computer fails. Performance, protection and confidentiality The ShareCenterTM Quattro comes with two Gigabit ports for high availability and the fastest connectivity to your network. Files are protected by the built-in RAID technologies (RAID 1, 5, RAID 5+ Hot Spare, RAID 10), to ensure that you never lose your valuable data. Confidentiality and integrity of files is enforced by giving rights to specific users or groups and assigning them to folders withread/write permissions. This function is ideal for the home, where children’s access can be restricted to age-appropriate materials, and ensuring that nobody can delete important files by accident. In a business environment this feature ensures that confidential information can only be accessed by authorised employees. Powerful software included The ShareCenterTM Quattro comes with Farstone Total Recovery Pro, an all–in-one backup and recovery software to create complete system backups. D-Link’s Storage Utility will allow you to easily locate the NAS anywhere on your network. Additionally, the Yahoo! Widget will install on your desktop and give you information about your ShareCenterTM Quattro at a glance. D-Link Green™ The ShareCenterTM Quattro is part of D-Link GreenTM, D-Link’s programme for providing eco-friendly alternatives without compromising on performance: if the Hard Drives are not used in a configurable period of time, or data is not being transmitted, the ShareCenterTM Quattro will go into stand-by mode to save power. Also, the silent fan will adapt its speed depending on the hard drives’ temperature.
