The Amerex B402 is a 5 lb. ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher offering robust protection against Class A, B, and C fires, including combustibles, flammable liquids, and electrical hazards. It features a UL/ULC rating of 3A:40B:C, delivers a 14-second discharge with a 12–18 ft range, and utilizes a specially fluidized and siliconized mono ammonium phosphate dry chemical. This chemical insulates Class A fires by melting at approximately 350°F and coats the applied surface; it smothers and breaks the chain reaction of Class B fires and will not conduct electricity back to the operator. It has a stored-pressure design with an anodized aluminum valve and a durable steel cylinder with a high-gloss coating. It includes a wall bracket and is rechargeable. It is functional from –65°F to 120°F and complies with NFPA 10 standard.
