Cisco Adaptive Security Virtual Appliance ASAv10

The Cisco Adaptive Security Virtual Appliance (ASAv) brings the power of ASA appliances to the virtual domain and private cloud environments, running the same software as the physical Cisco ASA to deliver proven security functionality in a virtual form factor. It supports site-to-site VPN, remote-access VPN, and clientless VPN functionalities. It is optimized for data center environments, supporting vSwitches for deployment in Cisco, hybrid, and non-Cisco data centers. It is fully and transparently integrated into the fabric of the next-generation ACI data center architecture. The ASAv uses Cisco Smart Licensing for entitlement validation and management. Most features of physical Cisco ASA are supported, except for clustering and multiple contexts. It allows critical security functions to dynamically scale to protect assets as business demands change and is portable across public and private clouds.
