The HPE Apollo 70 System is a density-optimized, 2U infrastructure that uses the HPE Apollo z70 chassis. It supports up to 4 HPE AR44z 1U ARM or up to 2 HPE AR64z 2U ARM independent, hot-plug servers. The system is designed for large High-Performance Computing (HPC) cluster deployments, leveraging the Cavium ThunderX2 Arm processor to deliver high performance, high core counts, and high memory bandwidth. The chassis comes standard with 8 LFF drive bays and 8 new generation single rotor redundant fans, along with HPE Thermal Logic technology for power efficiency. A full 42U rack can accommodate up to 20 HPE z70 series chassis, supporting up to 80 Arm-based servers per rack. Each server node features built-in high-speed connectivity (100 Gb/s Mellanox ConnectX-5 InfiniBand or Ethernet).
