Configurable EtherWAN for optimized, evolutionary services The ZyXEL AMG1312-T10B Wireless N ADSL2+ 4-port Gateway with USB offers configurable EtherWAN by using an Ethernet LAN port as a WAN access interface. For DSL network environments or infrastructures with FTTC/FTTB in combination with Ethernet, SP can deploy broadband services in different scenarios with the same device. Not just logistically optimized, the device also simplifies service deployment trainings and optimizes the CAPEX and OPEX for lower total cost of ownership to take advantage of the copper-to-fiber evolution. Quality of Service (QoS) support The ZyXEL AMG1312-T10B comes equipped with essential ATM QoS features. Service providers can freely design their QoS policies and prioritize mission-critical services such as IPTV and VoIP based on their service plans. This increases network efficiency and productivity that enable service providers to bring real multi-play services to the daily life of residential users. Easy customization with ROM-D function Service Providers need to have a quick, easy way to customize and manage different firmware versions before networking devices are distributed to fulfill specific requirements from different customers. The ZyXEL AMG1312-T10B features ROM-D to provide the flexibility for service providers to change default configuration settings easily through just uploading of a new customized configuration file. Always-online, always-compatible alternative 3G connection The ZyXEL AMG1312-T10B features optional 3G connectivity as a failover (or alternative) connection to 3G mobile broadband networks in case of DSL outage; with which Internet traffics will be temporarily routed through the user’s 3G dongle plugged into the USB port. All traffics will be switched back as soon as the regular broadband service becomes available again. It is also efficient to have instant Internet access in remote offices, activities outside of the offices or for occasions where DSL service is temporarily unavailable. The AMG1312-T10B works with most 3G dongles from mobile broadband SPs thanks to the latest 3G compatibility list and frequently revised patch file on the global Web site.
