The Ubiquiti airFiber AF-24-US is a Point-to-Point (PtP) wireless backhaul radio operating in the worldwide, license-free, 24 GHz frequency band. It is designed to deliver high-performance, carrier-class backhaul technology, surpassing conventional wired backhauls in speed and reducing security risks associated with physical lines. The standard AF-24 model delivers up to 1.5+ Gbps aggregate throughput at a range of up to 13+ km. It features an innovative dual-antenna architecture using a one-piece “monocoque” molding for precise alignment, employing a dual-independent, 2x2 MIMO, high-gain reflector antenna system. The smaller bottom antenna transmits, and the larger top antenna receives. The mechanical assembly has been tested to meet MIL-STD-810G environmental standards. Note that the AF-24HD version offers higher throughput (2+ Gbps) and range (20+ km) with a rugged metal reflector.
