The Cisco A9K-48X10GE-1G-SE is a Service Edge (SE)-Optimized Line Card designed for use in Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers. It features 48 dual-rate ports, supporting both 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GE) via SFP+ and 1 Gigabit Ethernet (1GE) via SFP optics. This high-density line card is optimized for service provider edge applications, delivering industry-leading performance and scale for Layer 2 and Layer 3 services. It supports high-capacity traffic loads such as Video-on-Demand (VoD), IPTV, and cloud services. All ports can be configured to be either all in 10G or all in 1G mode, with flexibility for certain mixed configurations. Fully populating an ASR 9922 chassis with this line card can deliver 960 ports of 10 Gigabit Ethernet or 960 ports of 1 Gigabit Ethernet. The card is designed for a 400G throughput and can operate in oversubscription mode up to 480G. It is fully compatible with ASR 9000 Series modular chassis and runs on Cisco IOS XR Software OS.
