The XS712T is specifically designed as a cost-effective way to provide 10G connections to 10G-capable servers and NAS (Network Attached Storage) systems. It can be used as a core switch for a small business network or as an access switch in a larger organization. It supports Category 6 (up to 30m) and Category 6a/7 (up to 100m) cabling for 10GbE speeds. The switch is energy efficient (IEEE 802.3az) and provides high reliability with dual firmware images and configuration files.
