The ATI Radeon 9800 XT was one of the fastest graphics cards on the market at its release (October 2003), designed to take advantage of DirectX 9.0 features. It offered a speed bump over the 9800 Pro without architectural changes. Performance was considered outstanding, often slightly outpacing the nVidia GeForce FX 5950 in certain tests. It supports dual displays.
