It features 16 internal SAS lanes supporting 12 Gb/s SAS and 6 Gb/s SATA drives, a 4 GB Flash-Backed Write Cache (FBWC) for write performance protection, and the ability to operate in Mixed Mode (RAID and HBA simultaneously). Its modular Type-A design preserves PCIe expansion slots.
