With Dual Console control, admins can work at a second location if the need arises, and they can share the same video and keyboard/mouse control with the local console. Additionally, flexibility is inherent in the cabling technology. Not only are Cat5e/6 cables relatively inexpensive, but it can provide connection distances of up to 100 meters (330 feet). So, admins can manage their data center from locations theoughout a building. Add in the ability to add servers not centrally located, but up to 100 meters away, you now have a solution designed to make the server admins truly flexible. No More Monotonous Cabling Clutters Corporate data centers are becoming increasingly cluttered with cables, and the conventional KVM combo cables just add to the problem. With the new Cat5 KVM products; thinner, less expensive and more flexible cables enter the equation. With Cat5e/6, cable management and overall neatness is now a realistic goal for the data center.
