The 3Com 3C17204 SuperStack 3 Switch 4400 is a 48-port, 10/100Base-T Layer 3 managed, rack-mountable Fast Ethernet Network Switch designed for Enterprise workgroup environments. It offers high-performance, feature-rich Ethernet LAN switching with high port density. Key features include advanced Quality of Service (QoS) for traffic prioritization, Rapid Spanning Tree, stack-wide trunking, resilient stacking, link aggregation, and built-in redundant power supply support. It supports IEEE 802.1X for user authentication via RADIUS. The switch fabric is massive, with forwarding up to 10.1 million pps and a switching fabric of 17.6 Gbps, and supports a MAC address table size of 8,000 entries. It allows stacking of up to eight units for a total of up to 384 Fast Ethernet ports managed as a single entity. Optional switching modules can add Gigabit Ethernet or 100BASE-LX uplinks.
