Elastomer-modified injection molding grade with high impact strength for clips, snap and fastening elements, and also for components subject to impact stress. The material is a POM-HI (polyoxymethylene copolymer with enhanced impact strength). This grade is characterized by excellent impact strength, high stiffness and good mechanical properties. It withstands repeated impacts and stresses, offering excellent toughness and fatigue endurance, along with good wear and friction properties and good chemical resistance. Available as an injection molding grade. It is supplied in the form of granules having a bulk density of approx. 850 g/l and is typically packed in 25 kg PE bags or 1000 kg Octabin containers. Proper handling is crucial, as contamination with certain thermoplastics like PVC can cause decomposition. If the material becomes moist, it should be dried in suitable dryers before processing. Decomposition products at excessive heat consist almost exclusively of formaldehyde.
