The 3M Dynatel 1420-iD/1420E-iD locators are microprocessor-based systems used to quickly and efficiently locate underground markers. They are unaffected by metal conduit or pipe, metallic conductors, fences, AC power, or electronic markers for other utilities. The system can read, write, and lock programmed information into 3M™ Electronic Marker System iD Markers. Information stored for up to 100 markers can include a unique identification number, facility data, owner information, application type, and placement date, all stored with a date/time stamp and transmittable to a PC for enhanced resource management. The locators feature a large, bright backlit digital liquid crystal display, soft-key operation, and a 'memory' feature to recall the previous setup. They are compatible with select GPS/GIS field mapping instruments for real-time mapping.
