Instead of using a single image sensor, the camera combines four individual 1/2.8-inch progressive-scan RGB CMOS sensors, allowing it to capture multiple viewing areas from a single network connection. Each sensor supports 1920 x 1080 resolution , providing a total four-channel 1080p capture configuration. The camera can deliver up to 25/30 fps , depending on the video system and frequency configuration. This makes the P3717-PLE suitable for monitoring entrances, corridors, retail environments, parking areas, commercial buildings, and other locations requiring broad visual coverage. The camera uses 3–6mm varifocal lenses with motorized focus and motorized zoom. This allows users to adjust the viewing area remotely and position the camera for the required coverage.
