ML350 towers complicate PSU replacement in one important way: not every chassis takes redundant hot-plug supplies. Entry configurations in several generations shipped with a fixed, non-redundant supply, while redundant-capable chassis use hot-plug bays, Flex Slot units on recent generations, earlier hot-plug families before that. Confirm which chassis you have before ordering, because the two supply types do not interchange. Wattage options vary by generation, and as with the rack ProLiants, a redundant pair must match in wattage and efficiency. The spare part number on the PSU label is the reliable identifier; the option number from your original order works too. If the machine is in production, send us the server serial number and we will confirm the correct supply free before anything ships.
Only if your chassis is redundant-capable. Look at the rear of the tower: hot-plug bays hold removable supplies with handles, while entry configurations use a fixed supply screwed to the chassis. A fixed-supply chassis cannot take hot-plug redundant units.
On recent generations HPE uses a shared Flex Slot supply family across many ProLiant models, but support is defined per server. A unit that fits mechanically is not automatically supported on your ML350 generation, so match the spare part number or send us your serial for a free check.
Hot-plug units carry a spare part number on the supply label. For fixed supplies, or if the machine is in production and you cannot pull the unit, the server serial number is enough for our team to identify the correct replacement free.
