Common Slot and Flex Slot supplies in stock, matched to your exact part number before they ship.
DL360 power supplies fall into two families that do not interchange: Common Slot units used by older generations and Flex Slot units used from Gen9 forward. Within each family, HPE offered multiple wattages, commonly 460W, 500W and 800W with higher-wattage options for dense configurations, plus more than one efficiency rating at the same wattage. Redundant pairs must match in wattage and efficiency, so a replacement has to mirror the surviving unit exactly. Every HPE supply carries an option number and a spare part number, and either is enough for us to confirm fit against your server. In redundant configurations these are hot-plug units, so a swap needs no downtime. Send the number from the handle label or your serial number and our sales team will match it free.
Only within the same family. Older generations use Common Slot supplies and Gen9 onward uses Flex Slot, and the two are physically incompatible. Even within a family, confirm the part number against your specific generation rather than assuming a unit that fits mechanically is supported.
No. Both supplies in a redundant configuration should be identical in wattage and efficiency rating. When one unit fails, pull the spare part number from the surviving supply's handle label and match it exactly.
The spare part number on the PSU handle label is the fastest route. If the server is racked and you cannot get to the label, send us the server serial number and our sales team will match the correct part free before you order.
